DavidTNguyen 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2011 attack power is the damage you land on the monster when successfully hit your target. Attack rating is the rate of successful hit (attack). More attack rating means you do more successful hit therefore miss less.
pleiades 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2011 Thanks... that's what I thought - roughly. However, I'm curious as to how attack rating is used. What I mean is, what is a "perfect" attack rating that causes you to hit 100% of the time? What attack rating causes you to hit 10% or 50% of the time? Without some insight on that, how can you tell whether your attack rating is "good", "bad" or "great"?
Artier 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2011 From my knowledge of ePT after playing for such a long time, I've discovered that you can never get 100% hit. If you stayed in GoF all day hitting Hopy's even with 9999 Atk Rating you'd eventually miss. If that be the 1st try, the 100th try, or the billionth try. You will eventually miss. Atk Rating makes the chance of missing lower, but it never completly depletes that chance. Now im not fully certain this applies towttoo, but I doubt Wartale has changed this. I know for a fact that my Archer at 11x with nearly around 2.5k-2.7k Atk Rating has missed in GoF. (I was hunting for a Perfect AS Javelin). So, this makes me think that it's the same on rPT. Gogg 3 Report post Posted January 12, 2011 There's a formulas for that, I just don't know where atm, I'm trying to find To hit someone/something successfully you got to consider the oponent level, defense, your level and your attack rating
kenshiro 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2011 attack rating increases your chance to hit and it's counter-attack'ed by your opponent's defense. I don't remember the formula but defense reduces the chance to get hit anyway so your att rating should be over the opponent's defense to have a high success rate. att power is the damage you deal but it's mitigated by your opponens abs (1 point of abs reduces the damage taken by... 1) then we have the opponent's block and evasion % that makes them avoid the hit at all
KITTYAN2 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2011 as Goog said. You never get 100% everytime. Only remember Level, Defense, Absorb and Block rating of the monsters. they have those stats too =).
