Double Sided Spear [122 - one handed] is it useful?

So, I got a 122 spear with damage -1-0 for 1kk.
BUT... is it useful?
It have no block, and the skill "weapon defense mastery" dont work with shield...
The question is.... should I invest in this spear?
if yes... agin? what mix? and why not a dagger with block or claw with defense?

aditional informations for my question: i'm trying a experimental build. I have no interest about pvp, I'm trying to force a hunt pve build.
(yeah, i know, Pike just for pvp 140 higher - I alredy have a Priest)

 my advice for you is : 

for pvp 122 spear mix bsol  for more hp  and the most important thing is to cast ICE during the fight - only with pole/scayte u can do that and with dagger you simply cant do that .

 

for exping :  might be better xmas weps for the block and abs { and that will be better then scayte} but will cost a lot more  .   but again to be a lurer u just need add hp and u will be just fine.

 

so i think 122 scayte bsol mix 50hp its the best option.... i did that and its awesome .
