Axe vs Sword, your opinion?

Greetings,

I've been checking out the gear in this game, trying to learn abit!

 

And im curious how Axe is even an option, if you compare it to Sword when we're talking end gaming.

 

 

It's literally 12% CRIT vs 77 ATK Rating.

I assume crit is way more valuable judging from every other MMORPG's i've played.

Or will the loss of 77 atk rating really make you miss tons more?

I do like both weapons,  but I still prefer the classic, axe.

Sword it is :) but but im curious, are fs any good at 15x-16x? are they equal with the rest of the classes when it comes to damage?

Im thinking about pvping at the end, and ive seen knights 2 hit kill people, if not 1 hit kill. What about fs?

i was fs for 3hour [ 162] top item +22 dnt/sol mix

need to know this char very good to kill ppl even in high level fs its low deffend easy to kill but easy to die

I didn't even think the difference between 170-181 and 176-188 would be noticeable :o

Sword has better critical and something that everybody forget about: BLOCK.

 

Axe has only 12% Block where Swords has 15%.


Meanwhile Axe got a massive Attack Power advantage, coupled with Attack Rating, that will help a lot to kill Melee and Magic characters.


Having both would be the best scenarios, but as far as formula goes:

 

Sword:

Best for AoE (Ciclone can do criticals)

Less risk

Best option against Archers and Atalantas (Low Defense)

Higher burst Damage through criticals

 

Axe:

Higher overall Damage Output

Two criticals deals a lot more damage than two criticals on Swords (albeit a more lot rarer)

Better against high defense targets like Mages, Shamans, Knights and Mechanicians
