Why aging is so expensive?

GM, I was trying to age my shild 120 +16 to +17, but coust 64kk only in the process, why this is so expensive? none can give aging in low level itens this way, because is cheaper buy already with age, and a lot of people (like me) likes to give aging sometimes.. I would like to understand, thanks

Because aging is the most effective way to make your item better. A high aged item has better stats than a mixed one, and that's why it's so expensive, otherwise no one would mix items.

well, not so much leo, since the block mixes on shields are sometimes better than aging... BUUUUUT you've a point

but it's really expensive... that's why people loved the free Aging event so much HAHAHAH we should have one of those at least once a year y-y

Sapph and Sol Block mixes indeed give more block rate than +22 aging, but that is the only exception, since the total difference in a 140 shield would be 3% block, while the aged item would give 19 more abs than the mixed one.

Keep it that way. Better economy for the game. ?. Leveling up is pretty fast . Might as well mix your shield with lower levels and save gold to age higher equips.
