jordanx 70 Report post Posted February 23, 2011 I've been playing RPT for a month now, and only recently have i started using the forums more. I've been reading many topic on players reporting hackers, auto-botters, ksing, and foul language... The one that stood out the most to me was the evidence people used when they report auto-botters. most recent one, this one in particular, http://www.realmpt.com/forum/index.php?topic=27487.0 NO ONE, NO WHERE, on this forums or a term says that we MUST answer any players upon request. By all i know, and in my opinion, that MECH, has the rights to not reply. He can CHOOSE not to reply to random players OR even GM. He can choose when he wants to reply as well at his convenience. (that PRS is a normal player, and she doesnt have the power to make him speak when he/she say so) It is the internet, thats the freedom on being on the internet, if he doesnt feel like talking he doesnt have to, not just cause someone says "hey talk to me, or ill report you" I don't find that as a solid evidence to confirm that someone is botting, unless if GM can detect the user using 3rd party program, such as a bot. What are your opinion to this post? Just let it out, this is the Garden of Freedom. : )
SkyX 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2011 Well, when someone said to you they'll report you as a botter if you don't respond, and you don't respond, you're just opening yourself to trouble. Normally, if someone accused you of booting you would deny it if you are really not botting. You're right, you don't have to respond, but you'll be suspected, thus reported, and might get banned. not that hard to type "hi" or "no" imo.
jordanx 70 Report post Posted February 23, 2011 i totally understand what you're trying to say.... It is not hard to type , hi or no. but I choose not to, cause im hunting, i dont want to talk to that person for accusing me, for breaking up my attention just to say "hey, respond if you're not botting" * my example would be..you know the 3rd tier quest weapon? I've had many numerous players just come up to me.. while i'm doing something, they would trade me.. and cancel. just to drop their tier 3 quest weapon. like WTF? they traded me for that? Thats lame in my opinion, so in the future, i choose not to trade with random players or even respond to players just cause they NEED (in this case) or want me to. because not every player respond to me, when i ask questions.. they just simply ignore. (which i understand, cause it can get annoying) and ill just go with what i typed, but still I dont need to deny anything nor respond, just cause the person tells me to. they can waste their time reporting and taking screenshots..but it all comes down to GM, if they do their job right. (im not saying that they are not doing their job right as of now) They can report all they want.. but then thats what i meant by.. the GM has to look into it.. like detect or block 3rd party programs before entering realmpt. They cant just look at the screenshot through report... and ban players that way.

TripleR 0 Report post Posted February 24, 2011 People call me botter and hacker (especially hacker) all the time. It's easy to trick them, though. Instead of denying it, I always confirm it. Then, they laugh and assume I'm joking. Guess what. I managed to bot my way up to 12x this way, and also hack some godly GM items in the process. No one reported me yet. They always think I'm joking. I'm sure when you read this post you'll think I'm joking. The question is: am I?

martual 1 Report post Posted February 24, 2011 Many complaints about this about that. Why dont have clear rules on the banned words? I was called Dog same goes to my clan. Do I even make report? GM just implement the banned words. Once use consider perm ban. Easier for everyone and save the investigation a time wasting process.

They cant just look at the screenshot through report... and ban players that way. 1) if you choose not to respond to accusations, you're just admitting that you are indeed botting. 2) your example is invalid, because normally people would only trade in towns, never seen person trading me in hunt maps or exp maps to drop their tier 3 weapon. 3) by not replying to accusations and leading to being reported, you're wasting the time of the GMs to investigate on your case. Assuming that you're not a bot that is. 4) by reading what the person typed when you're hunting, he/she already broke up your attention. Might as well respond back if you don't want to be suspected or mispunished.

Lol grow up and stop letting randoms get to you on the internet. You WILL get reported/banned for something on the server, everyone slips up and 80% of this server are insensitive retards who can barely speak English and are all about looking after themselves and fucking everyone else over. If you've done nothing wrong, just shrug it off and move the fuck on. Really, if you're gonna get this sensitive about one case, you're gonna get such a metaphorical slap in the future.
