Tampered Knight 8 Report post Posted April 26, 2018 What would be the earliest recommended age to use an aging/ripe stone? +13,+14 or above?
Amethyst 62 Report post Posted April 26, 2018 At +13, without stone the failure rate is 20% which is pretty high imo. You can fail or break your gears with just 2% of failure, and that means 1kc to recover or gold to buy a new one. I am very conservative so I'd recommend using aging stone starting from +12, or +13 to minimize your risk. These stones are not very expensive but buying your gears again will be.

Tampered Knight 8 Report post Posted April 27, 2018 (edited) What about the copper ore? Isn't it good as the aging stone? It doesn't allow the weapon to break... Currently, my sword is +11, I guess I have to start saving for a +20% Aging stone for the next one. I'm a little confused about the aging stone thing, and at age to buy which one...since there's 10% to 40% thing... I don't mind waiting, I still have a long way to go... For voting, it depends on IP and not account? Edited April 27, 2018 by Tampered Knight
Amethyst 62 Report post Posted April 28, 2018 Aging stone reduces your chance of de-aging or breaking your item when you fail, and higher level of aging stone reduces the chance further. The level you should buy aging stone basically depends on your level of risk tolerance, your financial ability and your item. There is no "one size fit all" answer unfortunately. Lets do a simple example. Assume your current level is 130 and you are aging a 124 clean armor. At level 130 you can age the armor up to +14. Starting at +9 you have a chance of failure of 4%. Aging cost will cost about 2-3kk or less, so if you failed and broke your gear you would lose these amount. How much is an 124 armor sold in the market now and what is the likelihood of getting a replacement once you failed? Is it cheaper to get a replacement if taking a ripe stone into account? Comparing that to a higher level item, for example 132 and above, if you fail, it will cost more and/or be difficult to buy a replacement or it will cost you 1 kcoins to recover which equals to 800kk now. Let's say you break the armor at +14, if had you bought an elder stone which is about 130-150 kk, it would have been much cheaper. Some people don't feel like spending gold on aging stone at early levels or using a lower aging stone to age higher level and they simply accept the result if their item ever breaks. Some are like me, I use aging stone every level that reduces my chance of failure to 0 or less than 4% because the most expensive stone costs me 438 coins, but if I fail I will have to pay 1 kc. Hope this helps :) 2
