Can a mech with build tank use claw and tank well?

to be a tank you need to use claw/talon with a shield obviously 

BUT

i am a 122 mech i can tank in all EXP maps but when it comes to hunting maps i can only tank 2 mobs maximum with struggle (Speaking about CT3) 

but i see mechs with high levels and high level items tank CT3 as if i am tanking in AD1 

P.S. with my experience mech needs boosters like mages prs and shamans to be successful or even a clan to help the mech raise high faster 

a solo mech cannot finish quests easily it takes years to end one wave... ?

Dagger ? I tested ms tanker using claw 138, xmas claw and dagger, and found I I tank better with dagger due to the additional block.

Keep in mind a dagger only adds half the stats it says though ?

I found that xmas item tank better because ABS but i used dagger for a long time. Maybe i make a New test
