since everybody wants new weapons and armors,how about doing some work with the towns ( nvm which town ) look,like adding new statues or flower pots or w/e  ;)

Decoy hammer more for a toy but it is very colorful ^^

 

Meanwhile for the axe posted by gui, i think the 1h axe is nicer and needed in game too ^^

Dark Rock is the name. Dark stones is what it "drops".

Anyway, there's this idea I discussed with Sander long time ago and I'd like to see it ingame, someday. It's really complex, but fun. The whole concept: party quests, also known as co-op playing (kinda like SoD, but better). Quick explanation:

1st. You gather a party of 6 players within a level range (Example: 115~125. Party quests will be restricted to these levels.).

2nd. The leader of the party talks to NPC X (that will explain you how the challenge works) and the whole party is teleported to map Y. Once you're in the map, you can't leave the party unless you disconnect or talk to NPC W to leave the map. The leader can't kick you either. The timer on top of the screen immediatly starts to run out.

3rd. Map Y has a few challenges for them to complete. This map is private, which means you won't see other parties running around. Multiple parties can participate in these party quests, but they won't see other parties when they're inside the map.

4th. If anyone dies during a challenge, every party member will be teleported to the beginning of the map and they will have to start over. If they succeed to complete every challenge before the timer runs out, they will get a random material reward (a sheltom or something) and a large amount of experience. Then they are teleported outisde the map.

5th. They can repeat the process.

 

Ok, so what does this have to do with you?

 

Well, we need that map. :P It has to be challenging (and huge). I'd like it to be an underground Ice Sanctuary, just like I imagined with the Ice Cave. The entrance to the sanctuary will be located in Ice2, also known as Frozen Sanctuary. I will post a screenshot of its entrance later. Anyway, it should be divided in X parts. Look at Death Cave below, it is divided in 2 parts (Part 1: the entance. Part 2: the arena):

 

 

I used 4 parts for my example, but that's up to you to decide. It would be cool if it had more than 4 parts. Here goes my first sketch of the map:

Part 1: The entrance.

The timer is already running.

In this part of the map you'll find 2 NPCs. If you talk to the first NPC, he will ask you if you want to leave the map. The second NPC sells HP and STM potions.

 

Part 2: The bottomless pit.

This is the first challenge. Description: There's a really long and really narrow frozen bridge. Your goal is to make sure every party member reaches the other side of the room. Under the bridge there's a bottomless pit. If anyone falls, it is considered a death, therefore every party member is immediatly teleported to the beginning. Then, you will have to keep trying. The timer will not be reset if anyone falls. Monsters will spawn in random spots of the bridge, to complicate your life and make you fall (they might fall as well, and if they do, others will spawn).

So basically, what you need to do: a long narrow frozen old looking bridge and a black pit below.

 

Part 3: The cursed statues.

This is the second challenge. Description: There are 4 ice crystals in the center of this part of the map, and lots of huge statues cover the walls. Once every party member reaches the center of this part of the map and once the leader talks to one of the crystals, the doors to the previous part of the map (part 2) will close (which means you can't go back to part 2, unless you die) and this challenge will immediatly start. Lots of old statue-looking monsters will spawn and they will try to hit the crystals (the monsters will 100% ignore the players, even if you attack them). Your goal is to make sure all the 4 crystals survive by the end of 5 minutes. For that, you have to kill the monsters before they reach the crystals. Every party member can see the crystals' HP. If any crystal dies, or any party member dies (this might not happen because monsters will ignore players), they go back to part 1 (but the timer won't be reset).

So basically, what you need to do: 4 medium sized shiny crystals in the center of this room. The walls should be covered with huge statues and pillars and all that sanctuary crap.

 

Part 4: The nest.

This is the last challenge (for my first sketch). Description: This room is a huge nest. You can see huge frozen eggs everywhere, frozen spider webs everywhere, you know, this kind of stuff. Once every party member enters this room, the doors to the previous room will close. If they die, they go back to part 1. There's a huge Spider (boss) in the center of the room. Your goal is to kill it and get the amulet (or something) that it will drop. Strong monsters will spawn to complicate your life. Ice Webs and other monsters like that might slow you down. The boss is really strong and it should take about 10~15 minutes to take him down (if you're a full party of 6 players). Only the party leader can pick up the drop. Once he picks it up, the whole quest will end and they get their rewards. After that, they're teleported out. They can repeat the quest all day long, everyday.

 

 

And that sums it up. If you have any questions, shoot.

This is a totally new gameplay mechanic, so it's not gonna be easy to do. But it will be worth it. ;)

First we need to gather all the tools: the map, the NPCs, the monsters. Then we wait for Wartale to do his magic.

Hmm. What are you supposed to do there? In the video it looks like you're always fighting monsters (kinda like SoD). My suggestion would be to add new gameplay mechanics other than monster killing. Sure, some might still involve monster killing, but it's a bit different.

 

-> Part 2: Trying not to fall to the bottomless pit.

-> Part 3: Trying to protect something from monsters.

-> Part 4: Boss killing.

 

I have more ideas. Such as:

-> Part 2.1: Trying to reach the other side of the room by walking up to moving plataforms. If you fall, you go back to the beginning.

-> Part 2.2: Trying to find out the combination to open a gate (the combination would randomly change every run). 4 party members have to stand on a portal (each one on a different portal). There are 15 portals. The combination requires 4 players. If, for example, the combination is: Portal BLUE + Portal RED + Portal GREEN + Portal ORANGE and your party members are standing on Portal BLUE, RED, GREEN and PURPLE, the door won't open. If the other guy changes to Portal ORANGE the door will open. They have to keep trying combinations until the door opens.

-> Part 2.3: Trying to survive on a completely dark room for X minutes, while monsters are spawning. All you can see is your HUD (STM/HP/MP, menus, etc) and the timer. You can't see what monsters are hitting you, you can't see anything. You have to wait X minutes and then the room enlightens and you can move on.

-> Part 2.4: ...

 

The possibilities are endless. ;)

This is not easy. But I know Wartale likes a good challenge.

Too much, too much... PT is simple game, it's cool on it's simple way, honestly I don't want to melt my brain in this game. That's why the other games stand for, and probably that's why even being that old PT still up

 

Raping mobs through a dungeon and facing another team in the end of the way seems way funnier than looking for doors or walking

 

Maybe something pretty hard that will need classes multiple skills, like supporting, tanking and power killing to get better surviving chances. Groups lose members, some even fail, and in the end survivors must fight woohoooo! Last group standing!

I also thought suggesting a mining system was childish thinking, but now we have it. ::) When you have a developer like Wartale there are no childish ideas. :P

 

Other ideas:

-> Tattoos. [lame]

-> Make the custom hairstyles' version of Big Head Potions. BHPs only use the 3 default hairstyles at the moment. It would be cool if we had all the hairstyles in big head version. [good one]

as gogg said SoD + pvp

6 teams till round 3, 5 teams till round 6, 4 teams in rounds 7 and 8, the two best teams go to an new stage(an stage modeled by mercury \o/) and this round is a pvp round where the 2 best teams fight each other *-*
