There are Goblin, Tree and Decoy monsters with a plastic hammer.
If you let them hit you 10 times, your head gets big and you get bonus stats. The hair is randomized.
The monsters don't seem to drop anything other than mystic mana potions. 
You only get one buff at a time and the buff doesn't seem to be manually cancelable to try to get another buff if you don't like the current one.
