Minimap

Hey Wartale community,

 

I've got only 2 questions.

 

1. Where is the minimap?

2. Is there a developing path, where users can see what next patches will come and when?

The minimap isnt working, cause its being upgraded. I have no idea why the old map cant be shown, while we wait for the updated map.
There is kind of a road map. On the frontpage, if you look to the right, there is a tab called "Game development plan".

The priston base code is a f * mess, I'm impressed that staff has managed to make this server soooo good, so ... the old map code is a bit ... "mixed" with other things, it's easier to disable / delete the old map and start developing the new one with a well-written code, fixing old cod of another person is hard

Finally someone that understands programmers suffer.

There's a lot of stuff that the staff created from scratch, like the whole game engine, so for things like the minimap ppl should be patient.

The original priston code is indeed a huge crap. The staff did the Refactor Project, that refactored the old Wartale client code base (they never used the leaked source code, but their own base code, in assembly) to a higher level language, and the project took 2 to 3 years.

So there is a shit ton of stuff under the hood, why the old map can't be shown is uknown, but if it isn't being displayed, there is indeed a good reason for it.
