=>You run or not depend on which spawn you stand and the distance you keep from mob.

I can show you how to play an AS and no need to run a lot in SS/SL map (other map i have not tested yet).

Maybe 1 or 2 times in 1~ 2 hours playing game you need to run due to other person lure mob.

You can record a  video for 15 mins playing and post in forum.

=> Yes for PVE comparing with melee char skills.

 

Moreover, As has Sun Arrow and can leave safely to find another spawn and trap Monster while melee char need to get Hit in PVE.

 

In short, what i want to say is Melee is very bad in PVE now comparing with MS and AS. Only KS can kill undead faster but in general can not be fast as MS and AS. (MS is strongest and the second is AS).

This part of class strategy to hunt. Archers aren't supposed to receive hits from mobs.

 

Melees chars, from what i've seen, need to kill 1x1 to be able to hunt well. You say thats unfair while archers kill from distance melees has to tank and use potions.

Just canculate how many monsters a melee char can kill in 1 hour vs MS, AS in the same level and items (better to take 144/145 level because the it is the level you can enter newest Map) to compare.

my opinion is keep the old way for SL and lower level maps and the new way for SS and higher level maps (which is possible in future). Keep playing the same way over and over again only make you feel boring anyway.

I think it sucks.  The whole point of the pet is to tank for me in the high maps.  I solo so its not like I have party members to help tank for me.  I shouldn't have to party if I dont want to in the high maps.  Now, I need a tank from my tank.  I'm wearing the highest items I can, mixed and aged the best I can and I'm still a PRS who can't take that much damage.  I die more often cause I'm getting hit by my own pet.  If it stays permanent, well I'll deal with it obviously, I'm not going to stop playing because of it.  You just asked for opinions about it, and mine is that its a bummer.

 

PS. I havent been to Shadow Sanc so I dont know how it plays in there.  Its possible that the new way makes that map different than the rest of them which can be a fun thing.  But for maps like SL and AW, the old way was working just fine.

Remember Shadow Sanctuary is a map use to be 1x1 (XP and HUNT)...

 

Its like old style Priston (Land of Chaos and Lost Temple) XP and Hunt.

Every Class got its PROS and CONS.

If you are a melee you complaint monsters hitting you / you cant hide and shoot from far.

If you are a ranger you complaint you cant tank mobs, get killed easily, end up trapping them.

That's how it works. Its suppose to be this way.

Class change if you think you're suffering. 

I think for now its good as it is.

Perhaps lower a bit of AOE dmg. ( Rock / Bekan )

Talk some sense than whining between all classes. 

At least everyone is enjoying now as a team of 6 !

Wartale is all about team work.

Theres no opinion bro. People who like melee will go for melee classes.

Those who like rangers will eventually change to rangers.

Killing fast doesn't benefit the party? since faster exp gained.

Its fair, high dmg = cant tank. 

Tankable = kill slower

Honestly i think the game is fine now except ATA and PRS being severely under powered. Prs is making a comeback due to T5 skill being relevant for the first time but still suck ass as DPS. 

 

I would rather every different classes have their own identity. Right now all 10 classes are unique. Each class have their own strength in various departments. 

 

I don't see any prs or mage crying about them sucking ass at PVP. These 2 classes are still 2 of the most popular classes in the game. People pick them because they are strong at AOE damage or a support.
