Starting again

I'm back after 2 years, I'm playing with MS so I'm using a magic char to up in EXP maps in party with MS.
My question is: Is better a Mage to hunt killing in AoE when I get my MS geared to tank or a Pris? I heard Mage can kill a lot faster than Priestess and I will need to farm some gold killing in AoE in ET1.

prs is better for AoE, ice meteor( th5) have a stupid area. mage is better for ''area dps'' with flamewave + watornado. so for xp maps prs is better but for hunt mg is the king ^^
