Is it worth playing with Pike?

I'm the kind of person who achieves LV. 100 and stop, but this time I will try to do better. So, if I create a Pike, do you think it's going to be 'easy' to up him?

 

PS: I'm also not the kind of person who buy things inside the game or is playing bc of the PVP.
