Never buy a "U" series CPU from Intel. Its low end garbage.

Base clock is too low and it can not handle the turbo boost due to thermal limitations.

Low clock cpus are horrible for gaming. I got a gen 2 core i5 notebook that is not a U series, it's 2 generations older than yours, and it performs much better on BC. Base is 2.3 GHZ and maintain constant turbo boost at 2.6 ghz all cores, 2.9 single core.

really U line is not good. this notebook was given for recycling picked up and fixed. ideal would be h/hq line

I already had another generation also previous and ran much better , D

still well this basic can flow

Oh, yeah. My old laptop that I mentioned is a i5 2410QM. Nothing special, but it was cheap back in 2011 and allowed basic gaming.

The reason Intel's U series sucks is because it was designed for ultra-low power consumption, to be used on thin ultra books, where the battery would last longer than average notebooks. The downside is the base clock speed, it's too low. Some versions like yours doesnt even have Turbo Boost.
I mean, it gets the job done for common tasks like opening emails, working with office and internet browsing, but it can not even handle Youtube 1080p video rendering without stutter. Definitely not ideal for basic gaming!

It's not like i'm bashing your system, it's more like a warning for other players. You seem to live in Brazil like me, and unfortunately most low end and accessible notebooks sold here are equiped with this garbage CPU. People lack technical knowledge and unfortunately they buy those garbage cpus and think they're doing a good deal but in reality it was just a waste of money.

If anyone is interested on buying new computers or notebooks, forget Intel. Go AMD with Ryzen - it's beating the shit out of Intel at a lower price. And Ryzen integrated Radeon GPU is better than Intel HD Graphics.

As pessoas não têm conhecimento técnico e, infelizmente, compram essas cpus de lixo e pensam que estão fazendo um bom negócio, mas, na realidade, foi apenas um desperdício de dinheiro.

Se alguém estiver interessado em comprar novos computadores ou notebooks, esqueça a Intel. Opte pela AMD com a Ryzen - está superando a Intel a um preço mais baixo. E a GPU Radeon integrada da Ryzen é melhor que a Intel HD Graphics.
