Skinning Guide (All creds to Kuro from Upt)

Let's Begin!

 

First you need BMP-patcher and TGA-reader. To get those you can download the pt client tool pack from here:

(there's also a wav-patcher but that has nothing to do with skinning)

 

Okey next step: throw the BMP patcher to the folder where the BMP-file you want to open is. Then just run it and you'll be able to read & edit the files

 

TGA-reader works this way: Run the reader, open the TGA file you want and it will create a file called ArchivoTmp to the folder where the original file is. You can open this new file with photoshop or another program that can read normal TGA-files (and then just simply edit! )

 

Okey for the skinning part..

Here's the skin file I opened:

 

 

Then do the changes you want. I ended up with this:

 

 

Then save the changes (remember the file must be in 24bit .BMP format and the name has to be the same as in the original file). I suggest you to make a backup of your skinfile before replacing in case you want to change it back to normal without reinstalling whole client

 

So, you still want to make more changes? Now it's time for the TGA-reader!

So let's open a file. I decided to stay with the archer:

 

Ending up with this:

 

And again. Remember to stay with the original format (in this case .TGA) & name.

 

Few locations:

rPT\char\tmABCD for armors and faces

rPT\image\Sinimage\Items\DropItem for weapons & shields and so on
