Is there a way to leave the personal store connected and at the same time close the game, but my character keeps selling?

Unless you use virtual machine service, at this point, no. Unfortunately.

Dont we all wish there was?  I leave my computer on 24/7 because you have to be connected in order to sell and it would be nice to be able to shut the comp down and give it a rest and still sell at the same time.

Last night I opened 15 shops. Took about 30 mins to finish all that.

 

Ready for bed.

 

Then I shut down computer...
