Distortion in PvE?

Is Distortion a useful skill? I can see how it might be useful in PvP, but what about in PvE? I've maxed out Meteorite and wondering if I should start pouring into Distortion of Flame Elemental.

I'd go for distortion, sometimes it would be quite useful. Since fire elemental isn't that useful until you start hunting which, hunting is only good if you are 125

plus, we can annoy them because they cannot pot easily. Distortion is a good skill using defensively and supporting clan mates

put distortion has its downside

 

said they can tank 2 (13x to 12x) and it is wrong that you are mild tanker that is not possible

 

and to kill in PvP you need to be power and still needed some distortion and that's your bad point because when you use this ability, because it is in area, all other players end up turning against you

 

and the other players do not care if you are in a fight or not all comes to kill you
