DL- Divine Lightning

is this skill super effective on Undead?

i just saw a prs solo Prince less than 5 mins.

im 126 mech, even with power build it would take me more than 20 mins

did i miss something? o.0

Seems like DL does have extra damage against undead, but maybe holy reflection had a part in it as well.

If S is caster spirit, m is weapon min damage, and M is weapon max damage, L1 DL does 45 + (9/8)S + (3/2)M + (3/2)m damage to a lone undead enemy, and not much more at L10. L1 VB by comparison does 85 + 4S + 2m + 2M to anything, and likewise not much more at L10. That'd be a 40 + (23/8)S + (1/2)M + (1/2)m advantage for VB, which means more damage no matter what equipment and stats the priestess has. Well, assuming the cast time of DL is not ridiculously low compared to VB, but I doubt it.

 

So, either it is severely bugged, the person in question was cheating like crazy somehow, or you missed something.

I don’t think i missed anything lol. i was there first, and lured Prince out. Somehow the prs showed up and DL, with wand and shield 104. Prince spawned at 0:11 and he died at 0:15, which is 5 mins. in that 5 mins, i used Spark only, it's impossible to kill that fast with dL even with 5 prs. well, no proof, gotta let it go lol. just a bit surprised

You wouldn't happen to know the absorb rating of the Prince? If it's low enough, a priestess with a lot of spirit and a very good weapon could kill it pretty quickly. Of course, if that was the case, everyone else should be able to do it even quicker, considering the priestess is pretty much last in one-on-one ability, and DL should definitely not even be the best skill for it for the priestess.

 

Then again, holy reflection as mentioned might be a big influence, depending on what the reflection is based on (damage before or after absorb, and is the reflection damage reduced by the enemy absorb rating?). The Prince is presumably a rather heavy hitter, and reflecting 150% of that back could hurt. It still wouldn't explain why DL would be a better choice than VB though.
