[SHARING] Cooking tips and recipes

Hey guys, 

 

First off, happy new year to everyone! It's just turned 2022 where I live. For this special occasion, I would like to share some of the tips and recipes I've learnt so far. Cooking is supposed to be a fun activity that we share with friends and it's sad to have not seen a proper guide on cooking so far. So, here it goes.

 

1. Ingredients 

 

Basically, anything that can be gathered can be made into edible foods, excluding ores of course. Be careful when you throw other items into the cooking pot though, you might destroy your valuables because the cooking pot accepts almost anything. 

 

2. Tips

 

Here are some of the tips I've learnt so far:

 

- 4 of one kind (4 flours, 4 eggs, 4  milks, etc.): 100% success. Enhanced version of the basic ingredients. 

- 2 + 2: as long as you stick to real-world cooking rules (flour and nut, apple and honey, etc.), you should be successful in crafting a new kind of food. 

- 2 + 1 + 1: best recipes, usually give you different kinds of buffs in one food. I believe these are the best types of recipes. This is the realm that needs a lot more exploring. 

- 3 + 1: recipe for DISASTER. I have never succeeded to make a food mixing 3 of 1 kind and 1 of another. Let me know if you've found any 3+1 recipe.

- 1+1+1+1: same as 3+1. Never been able to craft one. 

- The rarer the ingredients, the better the stats. This applies to seafood of course. 

- There's a chance of failure for all recipes. The failure chance is determined by your fishing level.

- There's a chance to get gourmet food. Eating gourmet foods gives you well fed status (5% HP). 

- From the official guide: 

Gather your friends for a meal around the Cooking Pot, pressing Space Bar to sit down. You can share your Food by eating close to your Party Members who are also sitting by your side. Sitting will also increase the chance of getting Well Fed. 

 

3. Recipes (to be updated)

 

With the tips above, here are some of the recipes I would like to share with you guys. Feel free to share more in the comments below to contribute to the community. Some of the recipes are inherited from @guerrero.

## 4 of a kind

4 flour/2 wheat + 1 milk + 1 nut / 2 wheat + 2 nut =  bread (abs, def)

4 milk/2 milk + 2 honey = warm milk (HP)

4 honey = caramel (walk speed, walking evade, SP regen)

4 crab/2 crab + 1 butter + 1 spice = boiled crab (dmg vs mechanic). Other stuff similar to crab (vampiric squid, shrimp, etc.) should give buffs to other types of monsters I believe. 

4 fish = steamed fish (atk power boost)
4 egg = boiled egg (buff duration)

4 nut/2 nut + 2 spice = roasted nut (attack power)

4 powders of any kind = infusion (HP/MP/SP + HP/MP/SP efficiency)
 

## 2 + 1 + 1
2 butter + 1 spice + 1 egg = omlette (mp, walking evade, crit dmg)

2 eggs + 1 butter  + 1 wheat = cookie (hp, mp, sp, crit)

 

 

## 2 + 2
2 apple + 2 honey = baked apple (attack rating, hp regen)
2 wheat + 2 honey = wyzen mead (exp boost, block)
2 milk + 2 nut = hopykoffy (HP, abs, cris res, mp use)
2 fish + 2 mushrom = fish with mushroom (HP, atk power, atk rating boost)
2 milk + 2 butter = cheese (penetration, precision, crit res)
2 verweed + 2 carrot = green salad (crit dmg)
2 milk + 2 carrot = carrot stew (abs)
2 fish + 2 nut = nut crusted fish (HP, attack power, atk speed boost, damage boost)
2 fish + 2 honey = glazed fish (HP, attack power, abs)

2 egg + 2 honey = egg pudding (crit, crit dmg, crit res)

2 fish + 2 shrimp = seafood skewer (attack power, attack speed boost)

2 apple + 2 wheat = apple pie (attack rating, attack power boost, attack speed boost)

2 wheat + 2 mardano's horn =  golden beer (exp boost, perfect is 6%) (it fails a lot)

2 wheat + 2 miragewort = thaion wine  (perfect status are: exp boost 4%, crit 5% pve, crit 2% pvp)

 

 

 

So far we have discovered around 27/50 (including different types of buffs versus types of monsters) unique foods.

There are over 1800 recipes for 50 types of food. Adding new ingredients would be a lot of work to update all recipes.

Hi guys, thanks for this topic !

I want to help with two other recipes to make seafood skewer, this food you can use 2 fish + 2 shrimp, but you can change the 2 shrimps to another recipe like vampire squid. then you can get the same food result, for example 2 fish + 2 vampire squid or 2 fish + 2 crab. 

I didn't test other combinations to do this food, but if i test or somebody wanna test. It would be good, for example 2 fish + 1 shrimp + 1 crab. I think it should be failed but It's necessary to try and test.

Awesome bro. Man yesterday I tried 2 wheat 2 miragewort and it failed so I thought it was the wrong recipe. Turns out I was just unlucky xD
