My haven't tried es, but with the crazy amount of abs that we get with ma and comp, I don't think we'll need the extra block from es. Plus if you decide to go for a spark build, ss gets a good bonus from it.

Spark Shield also gives you a nice defense boost at lvl 10.

Besides the def boost of Spark Shield, every time you block an attack, the monster takes damage. So it's the best for upping, I'd say.

Extreme shield is bugged anyway. For spark builds spark shield should be the way. By the way the damage reflected by spark shield is just the static damage of Spark without the additional Level*4.
