Laggy pt experience

I notice that alot people are lagging alot in pt and not just becouse their pc specs suck.

 

Does anyone have an answer to this vista/w7 problem. Seriously, there are some versions that don't make it laggy but most do!

 

K so I got some stuff pointed out.

 

Lags are mostly becouse of the text ingame so.

 

what couses lags.

1. Chatbox

2. Party/quest/clan box

3. aero skins for vista and w7

 

closing/removing these things will make your game lagg less but how do we fix this without having to do that? I know it has something to do with the 3d engine in vista and w7 that doesn't let you have alot of text in pt. We seriously need a fix for this.

 

I'm not asking for people if they also have this problem but asking for ppl who have a solution, if its there I will make a guide on how to do it!

PT is x86 maiden, x86-x64 wasn't even supposed to read PT properly. Also, PT IS OLD! It's a game based in direct X 3. T___T

 

Well, the solution maybe (note this well: MAYBE), is to rewrite the heading to the game point to the newer Direct X and other actual Libraries from windows (also kernel and other x64 libraries).

so, if sandurr could code some shit to make pt listen to the newer Direct-X it will be maybe be less laggy? or you don't mean really coding ?

Yup, hard coding. Dunno if it's possible to make a old execultable linkable to newer and more complex libraries as the x64 ones. Also dunno if it's possible to PT be compatible with newer Direct X. But it's up to Sandy.

all this it´s just BS. I never lag, dunno why all complain about. Just get a good Video card and decent network.

 

Even i'm use 2mb net and 512 ddr3 card (integrated) and it was the same when i had 2GB DDR5 Video card. Also 4Gb ddr3

 

Cheap pc works well.

 

I had a super PC 8GB ram 2GB video ETC and its the same

Like I said, you don't need a super pc to play Priston, actually, even win 2000 runs PT fairly good.

 

All you need is a working Direct X (any above 3, not much hard I guess), between 1 and 4 GM ram (ddr1 to ddr3, doesn't really matter) and a old direct X native video card (Intel's on board are really good). And some space at your HDD, of course.

indeed, a good pc doesn't make pt run well, there are factors. windows xp runs pt better with bad specs then a w7/vista pc with good specs.

 

So its about fixing not telling people this is b/s becouse it ain't -__- these are my specs and I lag as shit

win7 ultimate, intel core 2 duo 2.0, 4gb ram, nvidia 9600m gt 512mb laptop, the lag is that annoying that i rather don't play at all

and when i tried playing on my sisters laptop a mini with win XP, 1gb ram and a 128mb vid card it runs smooth

I am currently using win7 but before I got win7 there was vista on this laptop and when I played back then I probably had xp style menu since the vista one is crap so, yea

 

I tried everything with the compatibility options but I could not find any solution, I doubt there is any easy fix for this.

Nop im using w/ vista ultimate 64 bits with all the shit (aero and etc) no issues

Not depends only from windows version, also hardware compatibility. If you got 64 bits win but got mid to low hardware, conflicting will be less.
