I need suggestions. Maybe 5v5? You may form your own team whatever composition you want and let's make a time when we are going to do it.

It can also be best of 3 per round.

 

Those who are interested, please suggest something till we come up with something good and fun.

The game is so boring that the players are trying to do something to liven it up, it seems like a joke.

Not everything revolves around being too competitive. This can be a friendly game that can be a tradition.

Random 5v5 or 3v3 makes sense. There should be a level limit, the tournament should be for 145+  because that's when players are using full aged gears. There could be another one set up for 145 and under. 

 

Players submit an application. Names gets thrown into a pool and gets randomly drawn into a 3v3 or 5v5 and a time is assigned for the battle. Players can meet offline and discuss strategy or practice. On the battle day, players meet up and battle for 3 rounds. Winners gets 1 point and loser team gets no point. If a player is no show, he/she gets -1 points. Points are accumulated through out the tournament and maybe the GM can give some prices in the end. 

 

Of course the 17x will win the most statistically wise, he/she will not ALWAYS win because he may get assigned 2 14x against 3 16x. The final rank should be tiered as well. There should be a winner in 17x, 1 in 165-170, 1 in 160-165, 1 in 155-159, 1 in 150-154 and finally 1 in 145-150.
