question about bunny quest

I was reading that there is no bug, that in order to get a bunny kill count you have to be in a map within your range... so what youre telling me is that in order for my 153 char to get the bunny hat I have to find 150 bunnies in EB?!  Thats impossible.  Its a hunt map.  I wouldnt be able to get it in time on my main.  I dont understand why the GMs are making these event quests impossible to do for people who can only play like 2-3 days a week for a few hours at a time.  Its frustrating.
