But if GM wants to open an event, please notify 24 hours in advance on the website and in the game
For example, a happy hour event is happening I went to the website and checked the server time at 10-11 p.m. There were no notifications
but at 00:00h server time there is a happy hour event

Nothin new here. Same as planned maintenances…. Planned for gms not for players.

an updated calendar before the event starts, so that players can plan ahead. Luckily it didn't happen today and I was able to enjoy the event, but I'm not always that lucky.

 

Don't you want to announce the event to make it a surprise? Put "surprise event" on the calendar.

I dont think they have advanced notice when they start events.  People get mad that announce an event and then it doesnt happen on time.  They dont announce them, and then people cant complain when they get behind schedule and have to put it off for a few days.
