Video lags on 2nd monitor

I cant watch anything on my 2nd (or 3rd) monitor, the playback lags way too much, be direct from my pc, or some streaming site.

I would assume it has something to do with the fact that PT uses Direct3D 9. 

Anyone know of any solutions to this?

Have you tried activating live stream mode? I believe this option lets the game run in the background or something similar
