maniac10 25 Report post Posted March 9 Does the level of fishing influence the chances of cooking a perfect (gourmet) meal? If so, what would be the percentage? I didn't find this information on the forum.
TadsK 60 Report post Posted March 9 Yes, but there is no clear data on how much that influences. Game developers decided this is something that we should figure out on our own, but every now and then they give us a little more info. I’m wasting my money doing some testing on my own to see if I can figure it out somewhat. I believe recipes have a set % of success/fail/gourmet and each level of cooking adds a fixed % to that. example: at level 0-1 fishing bad recipe: success 30% fail 70% chance gourmet 5% Very good recipe: success 95% fail 5% gourmet 50% I think each level adds a fixed % to the chance of both success and gourmet. But lots of testing needs to be done to find out how much. It could be like the chance of double drops in herb/mining, like 1% extra per level, or it could be much more impactful. if anyone has more info, please share ^^

Thanks for sharing your studies ^^ @Overlady Can you give us information? xD

I didn't find this information on the forum. The chance to produce gourmet food is literally "luck." I'm level 7 in fishing, and honestly, i haven't noticed any "significant" increase in the chance to craft perfect food. Sometimes i craft 10 fish rolls, and only 1 comes out perfect, while other times 3-4 do—but this already happened since level 1.

Yes, I also left lv5 and didn't feel any difference, that's why I questioned it in this post. Thanks for sharing your experience too. I don't think it's worth investing in fishing if that's the only reason... =/
