Question about spec skin

Pardon me for another question that I am kind of puzzled about...

 

May I know for weapon skin does it make any different if it has a spec on it but does not add any special attribute?

 

For example is there any benefit to respec a magician spec samurai sword to knight spec and use on a knight?
