I realize that every FREE game needs money to stay afloat. But why is it that our very own coin shop is so incredibly expensive?

We already have a hard grind ahead of us all when we reach higher levels but to charge anywhere between $20 to $35 in coin just to upgrade each of our robes and armor is highway robbery.

I have already invested far more money in this game than I ever did on World of Warcraft. And I know I am not alone. Is the game unpopulated? NO! Are there enough people playing the game to keep the money flowing? Absolutely. BUT as we level it gets harder and harder to upgrade our equipment. I bought the Throne set of rings and sheltom with talisman for 9999 coins. THAT is expensive BUT it is for an elite item package. I can understand how game developers would want to keep such an item out of the reach of not so serious gamers. Otherwise this would just be another pay to play mmo.

 

But to make it absolutely impossible for the average player to perfect or upgrade their equipment without lots of cash is extremely prohibitive. It is hard enough to generate a substantial enough coin base to buy equipment in-game for new equipment but add real cash to the mix and what you end up with is frustrated players leaving the game because they can no longer compete with fellow Wartale fans. At the higher levels in this game it becomes pay to play and pay to level. You can call it whatever you wish to but that is the absolute bottom line.

I would suggest that aside from elite items that you make the upgrade system a bit more affordable for all players. We spend a lot of gold to upgrade our equipment and some of us have to spend real money on coin just to upgrade each item. 2449 coins per item for each of 7 pieces of armor, rings, sheltoms etc is far too expensive as it is for my lvl 133 character. Having invested well over $1000us I must finally call it plays on the coin shop. 777 coins for a single Sol is just ridiculous. I don't intend to spend the majority of my game time dependent on other players for my exp. Sometimes I just like to level alone.
