how does the looting work with the hellions?

In order to have the Hellions looting gold for you ...  you need to keep fighting with your left mouse attack, this makes you "active in battle" ..  if you stay afk, they dont do anything ....   and Hellions can only loot gold in maps with less than , i guess, 30Lv difference.

Hellion's keep 5% of all gold looted. Hellion's only loot in maps with a maximum level difference of 30 level.
Hellion is automatically disabled if Fighter is not active.
There is a 5% chance for the Hellion to rage against its summoner.
