A Few Newbie Questions – Assassin, Gathering & Mounts

1. Assassin & Gathering:
   Is it really necessary to level up an assassin just for gathering skills, or can I do gathering on my main character (a knight)? My assassin is currently level 97 and I’m struggling to get her to 110, while my knight is already 126. - Maybe the benefit of using an Assassin for gathering is that you can travel fast without a mount, also undetected and also wont be wasting an exp pot that is running?

2. Mount Equipment:
   Where do I get mount equipment from? Is it something you obtain through gathering, or somewhere else?

1. Ass has high speed, invisible and not attacked by monsters. It is most suitable for mining. Being attacked by monsters can stop mining.
