Aged skin effect?

Guys please enlighten me on what the effects of aged skins are?

For example, why do we have to +24 an Eldritch Greatsword?

Can't find the information anywhere in the Game Guides.

Hello,

 

Higher level agings on skins will impact only their colors. It won't affect any of the char's status

I see, do you have link to any guide on how these 24 colors (from +1 to +24) look like?
