Capybara 593 Posted Wednesday at 02:29 PM (edited) Hello With all this wave of “AI” and the updates to Windows 10/11, I’ve been researching the possibility of switching operating systems to Linux (using some distribution like Zorin or another). Because of that, I have a few questions: @Support@Senpai is it allowed and compatible with the Linux system? Anyone who already has it and uses it, could you share your experience of playing Wartale and whether, when using Linux, the game actually runs “lighter” (better performance)? Sorry for the questionable English. Edited Wednesday at 02:29 PM by Capybara (╯°□°)╯

Support 5,215 Posted Wednesday at 10:46 PM Hello, Please note that Wartale is compatible with Windows systems only. Running the client on any other platform will require a virtual machine, which is not allowed and will result in some limitations. Linux can run on almost any hardware, so you can easily try it out on your current PC. 8 hours ago, Capybara said: is it allowed and compatible with the Linux system? P/S: In my personal testing, Wartale runs fine on macOS under ARM using Parallels or VMware Fusion, though there are some limitations with control input due to the VM being blocked. With CrossOver, it seems to work without issues. Best Regards, Support Team 2

(Reducing ping/lag and FPS issues)

Sorry for the questionable English. I use the game on one of my PCs with the Linux Zorin OS operating system. With only a few tabs open, it runs without lag and seems lighter, but if you open several tabs it starts to become heavy because the only way to play Wartale on Linux is using Proton. Linux PC Specs: RAM: 32GB Processor: Ryzen 5 5600 Graphics Card: Radeon RX 7600 8Gb I hope this helps.
xXxRazieLxXx 177 Posted Thursday at 11:43 PM What about what the guy said about Proton? probably you would need to add it in your steam as a non steam game and run it with Proton. Tho the stability of if it will actualy wortk is not garanted. btw Proton is a compatility layer created by valve which is able to run many window games under linux without the need of a VM or Wine emulation
