skill animation cancelation

I remember once I saw a topic about skill cancellation previews with some gifs as a preview. Some Gm posted it. I searched but couldnt find the topic. It was old. Does anybody remember it and can link the topic here? Thanks

yea, that whould help alot, some skills take long and sometimes is usefull to cancel so plz, if there is a way, let us know, in my case Meteor (mgs)

ya, i will go soon, im thinking on rebuild the game in unreal engine, just for fun, trying to make a pt2 but not like the garbage they gave us some years ago, i played that trash and was horrible

I've seen lots of videos of people that had this idea but never finished their projects. It seems like a lot of work to develop.

Also, my personal opinion, I feel like the game loses its appeal when people try to port it to Unreal Engine and make it look like modern MMO, because the gameplay drastically changes.

How do you compete with a Throne and Liberty for example? You just can't if you try to create the same style of gameplay and design.

 

The game's appeal is mostly the simple gameplay and nostalgia factor. I can see a major remaster being successful, which is what I see Wartale slowly doing, I guess.

 

Don't change (too much) of the gameplay style, top-view camera, mouse movement and drastically improve the graphics/game engine and design.

 

To be honest, I feel like Priston Tale could benefit from MOBA-style gameplay. Can you imagine animation/auto-attack cancelling, multiple skill cast buttons (QWER) allowing you to quickly change/cast other skills on button click and not just repeating 1-2 skills or slowly cycling through?

 

Like a mix of League of Legends/Dota gameplay and Priston Tale would be dope. Of course that has its limitations and challenges.

It's free to imagine things xD
