Will items with expiration dates disappear when the server is undergoing maintenance?

i spent some Coins to buy these Gift Boxes... Thelonger you hold them, the more valuable they become, so i saved up just enough for their expiration date. But I didn't know there was server maintenance going on right now. Will they disappear when the server comes back online?

But we didn't know in advance that the servers would be undergoing maintenance if we had known, we would have turned them all on the day before.

It happened to me a couple years ago so I make sure to open them when they still have more than 7 days left one them.  Ive seen this server go down for a month, and for two weeks, before so even going down to 7 days is risky but year if they expire before the server comes back up, then they will disappear.

lol what? down for over a day is already a big surprise to me, never played any other game with so long maintenance!

It hasn't gone down for that long in a long time.... but it has happened before. Depends on that they are doing to the game.

welcum for your first time. there was a maint that last for more than 7 days. we never know when they arrive n we never know when it's back. search for topics from more than 3 years ago that say "maint or maintenance" n you'll have the time of your life reading the frustation of people every 5 min asking when the server will come back (just like nowdays

Talking serious, I really respect this game's developer. 

 

Even if it's making rivers of money, believe me, it is NOT worth the stress/effort, specially for a single person alone to handle this entire game code, and for so many years.

 

I remember the only time this dev trusted another dev, and the other dev stole the whole game code and opened a concurrent server.

 

And still this game's dev made public/free some auxiliary coding tools he made to help himself with his job, to help other devs who basically never helped him.

 

So believe me, it is NOT easy. In every single possible aspect (logic, emotional, social...).

 

Finding bugs, finding bugs origin, finding bugs solution, finding exploits, AND tryna do amazing stuff... even when something looks ready to release, as soon it's tested by 100+ players with diff pc/ping/intentions, it will likely show it's not even close to 'ready'.

 

I do hardcorely disagree with many of the staff decisions towards monetization / xp service, rules and punishments, etc... BUT the developer, is a big hero undoubtlessly.

 

I really hope that, one day, he finds a decent game CEO, allowing him to only care about code and about firing or not firing the CEO. And nothing else.

 

And still it wouldn't be easy.
