What's that? Eternal Realm

There is this little hopy icon followed by "eternal realm" on Bless Castle, Pirate Chest, Master Tamer, WM Lords and BC Champions's information tab on forum's homepage.
I never notice it and it might be something new I guess.

 

Any hints?

I believe that's the best guess.
When right click the hoppy icon and it's "eternal realm", ranking quickly refresh, which makes me think there might be a alternative ranking (other server instance).

The progression is too slow already if you start from scratch, and number of players is not that high, that would probably just kill “eternal” server if people Wartaleted.

Seasonal content would have to go through serious adjustments to be able to experience all content in that timeframe and Wartalete back to eternal later and not be wasted time.

That is usually the standard nomenclature when you have seasonal content and they get transferred to a definitive server after season ends. You can see it in other games that have that type of content like Diablo, Path of Exile, etc.

note my words:

seasonal wartale server will be the absolute end of concurrent servers. giving veterans from all servers the opportunity to enjoy the whole wartale content in a linear, fully fun/comfort focused experience (in detriment of economy, which will be reseted like once in a year) with FULLY WIPED RANK (clear way to be the top1, since level 2x 3x 8x like old days) will 100% destroy every other normal server. and the worst of all (for concurrents) wartale will do it PERIODICALLY. it's like having a NUKE button and spamming it because you can. No server can compete with wartale maps, items, class designs, skins, mounts, and eventually, cleaned up ranking. The only downside wartale used to carry for being at the top was having the worst possible ranking a new player could find when looking for a server, cleaned up ranking was always THE ONLY thing concurrent servers 'offered better' than wartale.

 

Seasonal tale will be the combination of the best of wartale has, WITHOUT the 'worst' of wartale always had. It will be like being giant without being slow.

 

i truly beilieve this will make people re-think which server have biggest player base or most players online, BPT and KPT being more populated will no longer be a true sentence.

 

Also it will bring new players to classic wartale more than anything else ever did. After knowing the whole watale content from seasonal experience any other server will look completely stupid.

Thinking of it now, maybe Eternal Realm is refered to be the main server and that little box where you can choose "eternal realm" suggests we can choose other realms.
Remember that Eura have a new sopphetio npc that says "you can go to spirit realm without harm" something around these lines.
Are realms new instanced servers with different purposes, just like bpt does? Are they seasonal?

We actually have no idea and it could be none of that rsrs

Good point, unfortunately we have no idea T_T

 

Maybe an “Season” can happen in other worlds, meanwhile we’re living on Eternal Realm. Who knows?

Well, considering everything that's been said, the last map is Etherborne. Which is reminiscent of the last WoW expansion. So, the Eternal Realm could become another set of maps with level resets, like what happened in WoW.

i saw with my own eyes a game being completely dominated by the 'season/reset system', in a game named 'fivem' with thousands of private server online nowadays.

 

One first server owner accidently deleted/corrupted the server's database, causing all of it's players to loose every single thing they used to have in game.

 

To avoid the end of the server, server owner re-launched the same base, but drastically increased server rates, increasing the salary of all jobs and farms, and lowered the price of vehicles and houses, basically he made the server extremely easy to play as a compensation for the unexpected wipe.

 

And for the surprise of everyone, the server simply sky rockted. Gathered many players from many other servers now playing together in the new boosted server, it was a success.

 

But after some months, a new problem appeared...

 

> Because server was easy to play, it came to a point almost every single player was basically billionaires, with best cars, best houses, ALOT of guns, and alot more money to spend than they could even spend with any possible thing in the game.

> This drastically affected the whole life in the server, causing everyone to no longer care about jobs/farms, players became extremely aggressive to each other as everybody used to carry heavy guns, nobody would care about locking vehicle doors anymore (in fact people started doing it ou porpouse waiting for a thief to appear), and server gradually became a 100% pvp thing.

> Even newcomer wouldn't care about jobs/farm/money because someone else would simply give them 1 million dollar in first day, and boom, new player was rich in first day.

 

And then...

 

> Because server became a total chaos, overall quality of life in server dropped drastically.

> Players started to spend less money with donations, and the whole thing started to truly collapse.

> That was when admin saw himself forced to reset the server once again, as an ULTIMATE resource tryna avoid the so obvious server death (players not donating anymore). And so did admin, expecting server would now truly die.

> But once again, for everyone's surprise, the server skyrockted once again, and it was now with even more players compared to the first reset.

 

'Wiped server' became sinonimous of 'a good server to play at, because high rates + clean pathway to the top, without whale old players sitting at the top forever'. 

 

And that was when the wipe system was definitevely adopted by the first server, high rates + expected death became normal for that server. After ~3 seasons, that server was the new top 1 server. And every other server started copying the system, until the total domination of the new system.

 

Now, basically 100% of fivem servers are seasonal servers with wipe system. The whole server divulgation always works towards 'wiped today' 'wiped last week' 'will be wiped tomorrow'. Every single fivem player is today used to the idea they will eventually loose 100% they have, and people expects this to happen, because just wiped server gameplay is awesome. Players don't even care about loosing things paid with money, they know everything lasts until server wipe.

 

That's why i believe so much in seasonal system. I saw it working, and it still works great. I'm not saying everything people spent years to build here has to be deleted, people loves their char in here. The point is we can have both, the 'eternal' server, and the 'fenix' server.

 

Specifically for wartale, simple flat increased rates wouldn't be the sweet spot, i believe early levels must have severly slower exp rates, while higher level maps having extremely higher rates, in a way that:

 

(Values based in 4h/day of gameplay)

lvl 1 to 5x  = takes 1 full month (almost old p.t style)

5x to 10x   = takes + 2 months  (still feels a bit like old p.t style)

10x to 15x = takes + 3 months  (slighthly boosted wartale style)

15x to 18x = takes + 4 months, (ultra boosted wartale style)

total gameplay time demmanded from 0x to 18x playing 4h/day = 10 months.

 

> The 2 last months of the year is when pvp will begin to fully dominate the server, while slower players will be finishing up their grind to the top.

> All of the drop rates can be extremely higher during the whole game...

 

Now that i've spoken a hell lot, i feel somewhat important and validated, and can eventually have a nice saturday night which is what i wish for everyone who did or likely didn't read my post.
