meguito13 12 Posted March 26 Hi all, i was wondering how each stats of rods affects our fishing - power - hook size - range i only know hook size amplifies hook area, range give you more range to catch fishes; but i dont know how power works during catching a fish and how hook size affects fishing, i was wondering maybe it gives you more frequent fish catching if someone knows that information can help me and i think the community because i asked many people but noone gave me a certain answer, most of them dont really know. Would be better if a GM can solve us that question Thanks all
ShaDownGT 60 Posted March 26 Power : the higher the value the fastest the progress goes to catch the fish. Hook size : amplifies the area of the hook (the one with 2x power). Range : how far u can throw the hook without moving. Anyway if @Overlady or @L could enlighten us would be good. Ty in advance.

I believe it works similar to how mining and herbalism work. The fish has a set amount of Health. Think of power as the damage you deal per "hit", if you are on the hook area you deal 2x damage. I believe the "Attack Speed" is equal to all rods. Hook Size like it was explained increase the area of the bonus damage, but I don't think it is that noticeable unless you have a level 10 Rod, so I can't say I notice any meaningful different (Have rod 7 now). Range is how far you can throw your bait, which lets you reach those hotspots that are far from where you stand. The most important attribute is for sure "Power", it speeds up capturing all the fish. Hook Size is good to allow you to control better inside the range, also speeding up your capture, but the increase is not as meaningful as power for sure. Range is just good to have so you can reach hotspots without moving too much. I'm not 100% sure, but maybe range also affects how long the mini-game plays if you are not within the Hook Zone? Or maybe it is because my power is higher now with the rod upgrades, that it feels like I don't reach the "end" as often anymore, when even while holding Space your bar slowly decreases. 2

Correct, Range is how far you can throw your bait. Best, overlady
