ace1 366 Posted yesterday at 04:00 AM having low input hardware is what helps the most... Maybe game staff could consider adding an "adjustable visual reference point" where players can adjust a visual shadowed line to always appear at a given distance in pixels before and relative to the actual hooking spot in the bar. So basically players with higher input lag who needs to press the button BEFORE the moving mark is in the right spot could use this visual adjustable reference to know exactly where they need press the key, considering the input lag, and enventually completely removing the input lag factor from the mini game. Super high end setup players: > won't use any visual reference Mid end setup players: > will adjust visual reference 20-40 pixels before hooking spot Low end setup players: > will adjust visual reference to 100-150 pixels before hooking spot @Overlady pls consider this... You get used to the “input lag” you have. It is mostly your reaction time to actually press the key. This “reference” changes depending on which minion/mount you are trying to capture due to the speed of the minigame changing. Best tip is to always try similar speed ones so your timing is on point. If you go from really fast ones to a hopy you will mess it up a lot. Having high fps and a good monitor REALLY helps. It happened to me that I was suddenly missing a lot more often than usual and it turned out to be that windows decided to set monitor refresh rate down to 60hz for some reason. Once you adjust the reference to a given speed, it can be automatically adjusted to other speeds according to how faster or slower they are. Default reference speed = 20 pixels Double reference speed = 40 pixels Halved reference speed = 10 pixels Depending on how much input lag/bar speed we talking about the player needs to press the button literally before it's on spot. Anyways the whole thing has to be bested
