Create a poll to see how many people are still trying to discover new recipes.

I don’t think there are many, honestly, probably almost no one anymore.

I think it would make sense to release a full list of all recipes for the players.

At first, when it was released, it seemed interesting. However, over time I realized that the system feels more like a form of gambling.

We don’t know what to expect, even when following a recipe correctly, there is a hidden chance of failure. There are no clear indicators showing whether we are on the right path or what the actual success rate is when trying to cook a single or gourmet dish. Additionally, players are forced to rely on external notes (such as writing recipes down on paper or notepads) just to keep track of them, something that could easily be implemented by the art and development teams within the game itself. For example, there are 10 quests that provide hints at each level, but after completing them, where can I find the hints or recipes I’ve crafted?

Thankfully, we have resources like wartaletools.com to check recipes. Without it, I personally wouldn’t feel encouraged to try crafting any recipe at all.

I have this vision, based on other MMORPGs, where recipe lists are visible instead of hidden. The difficulty should come from the required materials and cooking level, rather than from the artificial difficulty of guessing recipes.

I think I'm probably one of the last people that will still try to find out new and better recipes for all the foods.

It is costly though, so I don't try as often as I wanted to.

I created a spreadsheet and tested some of the known recipes that were discussed in the forum or part of the "Recipe Book" that the community created, while also trying variations and checking the percentage of success and also the percentage of gourmet foods that come out of it.

I think we currently have all the available recipes listed, if I'm not mistaken. It was based off on a comment from staff saying the total amount of food consumables in the game, that includes some of the materials like Apple that can be consumed.

There are some good recipes for some foods out there, there are also others that are still unknown to most people, but some variations are present allowing anyone to create any food, just spend a little bit more to get a gourmet version of it.

I've also been trying to analyze the cost of each food and their benefits. Right now there are many recipes that are underutilized due to the high cost of making them. Generally it is more cost/effective to just use a Beer while you are leveling and playing PvE, and some other food, like Cheese is used a lot in PvP. Beer can be bought by fairly cheap if you compare it to the cost of crafting other types of food that use more expensive materials.

I've seen some people using some of the expensive foods, like legendary fish ones to do the end-game dungeon, so they have their occasional use, but I'd say about 90% of the recipes don't see much use unless you need it to complete the cooking quest or adopt a minion.

I have suggested that maybe we should have two groups of foods, like Drinks and Food so that more than one can be consumed at the same time, so you could have some EXP buff and ABS or Damage buff for example.

The Cooking skill is something very interesting to me and I enjoy trying to discover new things, so I'll keep trying it. Especially because I'm a PvE player and have no intention of rushing through the game, so it keeps me entertained.

I also believe the recipes and their benefits can use a rework to ensure other foods are as relevant as the very few that are used nowadays.
