TarynLucent 0 Posted Monday at 09:05 PM Good day, decided to try poking a toe into Wartales but before I got started I wanted to check in with a few quick questions. Anyone who answers, thanks in advance you're wonderful. Question 1: Player population? I've heard Wartales has a "Good" and "Active" population, but I don't know how up to date that is and I'm just curious. Even with a lower end pop I'll still probably poke around a bit. Question 2: Least used classes? I'm curious if any of the classes just doesn't sit well with people. Question 3: Free to play friendliness? I'm only going to be F2P, I'll be straight honest, and I'm hoping the game has at least a mostly favorable F2P value on the overall scale. Again, thanks to anyone who answers! Again, thanks to anyone who answers! 1 - Player population is reasonable, I'd say. Although sometimes it might feel like there are not enough players to play the content that you are in, especially when you are new and between levels 110-147. Most players have characters that are over level 148, so the end-game map of this level is always full with people and you can do more content after that level range. There are a lot of players that have surpassed the level requirement of the end-game content and have characters that are pretty much fully equipped, so PvP content is non-existent unless you have a 16x character with nice equipment. If you try to PvP without this, you will just be frustrated. 2 - I'd say it improved a lot on this latest patch, bringing the Mechanician a little bit on par with the other classes, so you will see a little bit more of it. I'd suggest you test all the classes and see which one you enjoy the most. I tend to switch pretty often and mostly enjoy playing all classes, except Mage feels a little slow and clunky to me sometimes, but it is still strong for most PvE content. That being said, I believe the least played classes are Pikeman and Mechanician. The level range that you are playing at also has a big impact on this. 3 - It is very doable to be free to play, although, you need to enjoy the grind. There are many things that you can do in game that will generate some revenue, but they can be boring and not feel very rewarding sometimes, and donating a bit can speed up your progress significantly. What I do is rotate the content a lot, sometimes I do Mining/Herbalism for a bit, other times I fish, capture mounts/minions, or go to a hunt map and kill monsters for a few hours and try to find new spawns and strategies on those maps. There is also doing daily quests in many accounts, doing dungeons, etc. I'd say just have an open mind and try to explore the game on your own. I recommend you level your own characters and try them out, don't try to rush the game and enjoy the progress. This is what is most rewarding to me, but to each their own.
