is it allowed to login with 2 different chars? For example to play with my mage and at the same time with a tank of my friend?

Yes, you can multi-client all you want. It just depends on the capabilities of your PC as to how many you can run.

I also do that. 1 account I created for selling my trinkets, another for tanking and mine main.

Coz some server not allowed log multi-client and you can get banned for this.
