Any plans for releasing a new class?

Hi there!

 

I just wandering if the development team has any plans for releasing a new class like Pirate, Artificer or something like that.

 

Also if that so, is it there any way to contribute to the develop of that?

 

 @Overlady can you give me a clue or heads-up related to?

Guys, the team needs to focus on what's in the development plan, which currently has a lot pending. Many updates that were supposed to be in the game already aren't. The team needs to focus on what's listed, complete all these plans, and then think about making a new one. Something they don't do here. The server already receives updates very rarely. And you still want a new character, when will that ever be released, in about 10 years? The team needs to focus 100% on the plan that's already under development.

Shaman (something more neutral)
Source of power would be nature and spirit
Its objective would be balance
Type of summoning: Spirits and Totems
 

Necromancer (something darker)
Source of power would be death and souls
Its objective would be control and chaos
Type of summoning: Zombies and Skeletons

I don't think this is good. We do already have 11 classes which are not well balanced with several useless skills in each of them, including rangers with useless pets demmanding a whole secondary acc only to do the pet's job.

 

At least from my perspective i don't see a reason to release or develop a new class.

 

Also BS SS and SS are visibly lower quality classes compared to the vanilla ones (animations, skill fxs, overall visual quality, and skills design).

 

My recommendation is:

 

1- Rework all useless skills

2- Finish BS SS and SS (make it BETTER than vanillas - note: better doesn't mean stronger)

3- Get classes balanced (rankings presence)

 

4- Think about developing a new class.

 

Or just ignore what i'm saying and add a new inferior class to the big pile of things to improve.

Currently, we have 11 classes, and they're still struggling to balance them. Therefore, creating a new class would be a bad idea.

A small server with already 11 classes.... 

Some of them are broken and empty, specialy at low level and the last "new class" broke all the balance (Brawler). 

Another new class is not necessary and has the potential to bring much more problems than solutions.

Before a new class, would be great if the server improve PVP game strategy and mechanichs, solve the VM problems, improve the market with new professions or create new tiers for the existing one and specialy, define, once for all, the classes roles. Today, a mech isnt the tanker anymore, shaman is a better killer in pvp than PS and better tanker than MS, melees have poor capabilities inside the dungeons, archer is bad, Ass is almost a "profession mule", after years of waiting, mech still poor balanced and the majority of 146/148 items are already saturated with some beeing sold almost for nothing or using even as skins.

All you said is extremely important we need a lot of changes including skill balances, skill reworks, class reworks, class roles, and the list go on and on however it is still a game that need new people coming to play and get involved into.

 

That's why they released dungeons, vanities, mounts, and something less important such as battlegrounds cuz it's still in beta.

 

"New" classes like SS, ASS, and BS are vanilla ones which attract attention of new and old players during its released.

 

And for that reason this game need at least one or two things that represents it far beyond than professions and dungeons something that need to be accessible, fun and interesting for newcomers.

As the friend above said, the game has slots for 3 more tiers (6, 7, and 8 on page 2 of the skills panel.)

 

Your argument doesn't make sense because there are hundreds of things that could work as "vanilla" as you suggested, and not necessarily the release of a new class.

 

Incidentally, skills can be upgraded to a skill tree system starting from tier 6, allowing each of the 11 existing classes to have 2 or 3 possible subclasses depending on the skill set you choose.

 

The same thing can be applied to relics, where they can have tiers (2, 3, 4, etc.) and could vary their attributes within some possibilities and could only be used by a specific subclass of the existing class.

 

There's not even a need for 11 classes. Shaman could easily be a subclass of the mage class (celestial or necromancer/shaman). Similarly, the Brawler could have simply been a subclass of the Mechanic (using technological fists in a more offensive version instead of an auto-mech). The Assassin could easily be a subclass of the Pikeman, and new subclasses for other classes could also be developed from the "original 8".

Just for comparison, World of Warcraft has 13 playable classes for around 7 to 9 million monthly active players. Here we have 11 classes for how many players? 2,000?

 

This story of attracting new players to an old game like this is a fallacy. The best option would be to invest in a new game based on this one, with the same classes in new maps and current graphics, and mi grate Wartale old players to version 2.0 of the game, which would have the potential to attract new players with next-generation graphics and gameplay.

 

Nobody in 2026 is going to buy a Master System or Mega Drive to play from scratch, having the PlayStation 5 as an option. Unless, out of curiosity, they want to know what games were like in the past. But you can't get new players for old games that do not evolve.

1 FS in whole top 20, and it''s MJizzy, who's a FS lover too ( ATA and KS too ) who changes class every once in a while. Soon there will be 0 FS in top 20 once he switches to another class. Great representation. 0 KS and PS in top 20 too. 

 

It's mostly BS, ATA , SS , PRS

While MS ,MGS, AS ,FS  has at least some representation there.
