XQuantum 0 Report post Posted December 18, 2009 Taking Screenshots: 1 ) Just go in game and type Ctrl+End ( for a BMP image with no date code ) or Ctrl+Home ( for a BMP image with date code! ). 2 ) Go to your game folder, whatever it is, and look for the save\screenshot folder, there will be your screenshot. Some people prefer to use the "Print Screen" key to paste the image on Paint, Photoshop and other softwares... that's your choice. Recording Videos Fraps Download: http://www.4shared.com/file/176103393/39efa091/Fraps_294.html To record videos using Fraps, you just need to open it, go to the "Movies" tab, then choose the "Video Capture Hotkey", mark if you want it to record the sound or not, choose if you want it Full-size or Half-size ( it means: the size of the screen after recording ) and the FPS rating; the higher it is, more detailed the video will be... 30FPS is enough to record a good video. Tips: If you wanna record it to send to YouTube, half-size is enough coz the basic YouTube's screen is not that big... But YouTube already supports big videos, then you gotta choose. To take Screenshots using Fraps, just go to the "Screenshots" tab, choose a "Screen Capture Hotkey" and the format ( BMP is the best one, JPG can be poor... just try it and choose the one you like )... If you choose BMP, I hope you have a software like Photoshop to convert it to JPG without losing quality, coz BMP files are "bigs" ( 1MB+ ). To record a video, you'll just need to go in game and use the hotkey you've choosen... to stop recording it, just type it again... To take a screenshot, you just need to type the hotkey once. Important: Don't forget that your video is made of lots of screenshots, your video you'll be damn "big", I mean GBs! You'll need a software to convert it. And don't forget that you'll need a cracked version of Fraps, or buy it, to make videos long videos and take BMP Screenshots... - Uploading Images 1 ) Go to ImageShack ( www.imageshack.us ). 2 ) Click on "Browse..." and select the image that you wanna upload. There you'll also find the box to resize the imagem if you want to... 3 ) Click on "start upload!". 4 ) A new page will open, then you'll find a Link followed by "Direct link to image", just Copy this one. 5 ) Now just type [ img ]YourDirectLinkToImageHere[ /img ] No spaces between the [], of course... You can do the same with every image, you just need to find the direct link to it ( to know if that's the direct one, just use it and check if the page that will open you show ONLY the image, the rest of the page should be blank or wathever is the color that your browser got when it's empty ). If you use PhotoBucket ( www.photobucket.com ), you just need to copy the Link called "IMG Code", it already comes with the code to show the image here, so you just need to paste. If you any other image that you saw in the internet, just right-click on it and go to "Properties", there you'll find the Direct Link to that image. Remember direct links shows only the file, then this link will have the extension of the file; it can be .jpeg, .bmp, .tag... If the link doesn't have any of these ext., then there's a high of possibility of not being the right link ;D Before replying or making a thread, click on "Preview", besides the "Save", to check how everything you typed will be, then you'll see the image if you didn't do anything wrong. - Uploading Videos You can use 4Shared, RapidShare, YouTube... Choose the one you like the most, it's not hard, I guess no one will need a Tutorial... To upload using the YouTube, just register an account ( www.youtube.com ) and click on the "Upload" on the top right part of the website. In the next page you'll click on "Upload Videos" then you just need my help anymore coz there's nothing else to do Remember that after uploading you'll need to wait some time till you can finally get its link... Just check your videos page ( go to your loging name ( close to the "Upload" yellow you've already used ) and click on "My Videos", there'll be all your videos. You'll just need to select the one you like and get the link ;D I guess this forum doesn't support youtube videos, then you just can't show it here like you do with the SS... Just paste the link here and everyone will see ;D - Thanks for reading ;D

Sheepco 29 Report post Posted January 7, 2010 Nice guide Maybe this should go in media section though? One thing though. If there is ever gonna be any rules on this server, you have to have time stamp on your ss, so print screen isnt enough =)
