Round 1 - 6 : use staff

Round 7: use wand

Round 8: use staff + eternal life!!!

 

with eternal life u have your dmg reduced by 50% BUT same 50% reducced you still can kill some thing in R8!

 

Some one knows if eternal life works in sod???  :-\

I tested this stretegy with my mage 116 in sod now...

*Eternal life works in sod

*The mana spent in R7 is incredibly absurd(you can use only 3 meteors p/ mana pot)

 

So if you want solo in sod and some hope to rank:

Mgs can kill and tank in R7 with good equips,dist and some vit.But the mana spent is a great great great problem to ponctuate in sod!

One mana pot you use = one meteor less you dont use! = lower points in sod

 

In round8 if you have eternal life...and using each 30 sec...you dont need to lose time using dist,EN,your mana works better,and dont need lose time poting Hp!But your dmg is reduceed .

Just be careful when eternal life over,to use other! this can be fatal in Round 8 if you miss the click time

Some 4-5 eternal life can be enough for R8

No point doing anything but running in round 8, it's not worth it to solo round 8 unless you have like 3 -4 quake seals lol.

Also, Mage can't do so much dmg to mobs in round 8 already without using eternal life, it's just a waste of eternal life/ effort to be honest.

with 600 dmg u can do a group of mobs in r8 re-spawn at least two times killing them. Ofcourse this ll not the solution for mage rank sod,but it helps with some additional points.

 

And using EL,you dont lose time potting mana or mp =more skills spent,imagine the time PRS lose potting hp in R7 for example.

I admire your devotion for this Eternal Life "strategy", but you seem quite misguided so I think you should do your homework on the fundamentals of a mage, 3-3 mix doesn't work on mage since mage's damage rely on spirit and weapon damage.

I have a lvl 134 mage with acceptable gear and I do quite a lot of SOD mostly to test my tankability with staff, and I can tell you that tanking round 8 is not the biggest problem, the problem is there isn't enough time to finish all the mobs in such a short amount of time and I myself do quite some damage on round 8 without spamming MP and HP every 2 second.

So to sum it all up, round 8 was never ment to be for soloing, it is for party/clan SODs.

P.S: I only do SOD full spirit, makes no sense if you have lots of HP and mobs can still drain all of it in matters of seconds.
