thanhame3 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2015 Upgrade both CPU and graphics card if you have the money. Intel Core i3-4160($120) or i5-4460($190 if you can afford, CPUs will stay with you for a long time) and AMD R250X graphic card would be good upgrades. If not, upgrade your CPU first, check whether the hardwares will be compatible before buying though.

Ices 18 Report post Posted April 14, 2015 You can have a 15-core CPU and 666GB of RAM / VideoCard RAM but PT still will lags for you on Siege Wars and Hells Gate since this game isn't optimized for multi-core threading. The max you can have is less lag than your actual configuration buying a new PC, but you still will have lag. Sad, but true.
thanhame3 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2015 Agree with the lag part, low-end PCs are most likely going to lag, no matter what.

Sad, but true. im afraid i'll have to refute what you just said, pal. i've recently met a couple on my city that happened to play rpt, the both of them. i went over the guy's house for a lan meeting to play together, he happens to own 2 amd quad-core desktops, both with 8gb ram and two gtx760 with sli enabled. we went to a preety crowded hell's gate session together and i've never had such a smooth gaming experience before in my life on this game. 60 fps, all graphics maxed out on a 1600x900 resolution. i asked him if i could sleep over a weekend from saturday to sunday to go siege war and see whats up. lots of ez, lots of pm. got 40 fps this time, tried reducing the graphics, back to 60. actual benchmark on another much pushy environment showed me around 90 fps max, so im sure those 60 fps were game engine/code limitations or at the very least the game command /fps could only be programmed to show up to 60. So maybe they changed something on the engine, because as i remember some1 from clan had a 8-core AMD and he said it didn't changed too much the gameplay experience on crowded places compared to his other configuration (just max. 10 fps increased). My bad. I just said that because as i remember the old engine here/the engine of PT didn't supported multi-threading before :-[.

aydinerkan 1 Report post Posted April 15, 2015 I think sandurr redid all or most of the engine a long time ago because the original was very outdated and not compatible with current systems
