Doorway to nowhere in ET2

If you enter ET2 and go to the right down that hallway you can then go left or right but straight ahead is a doorway that you can't enter.  Will that door eventually lead anywhere?

It was supposed to be the et3 entrance.

ET3s entrance is in the back of ET2. So the side doors lead nowhere now and forever then?
