Can you guys help me to build a mech for hunting ?

If you want to hunt you should try another char, seriously

 

But if you want to insist on mech:

 

SKILLS

- Extreme Shield lvl10

- Physical Absorption lvl10

- Grand Smash lvl10

- Metal Armor lvl10

- Mechanic Weapon Mastery lvl10

- Compulsion lvl10

 

I think that's the skill order you should follow when training them (just in case if you still don't have skill points enough to max them all)

 

STATS:

Strengh: All you can

Spirit: enough for your rings (64 would be the perfect stats)

Talent: 90

Agility: enough for your boots (68 would be the perfect)

Health: base

 

The lvl110+ bracelets require more agility than boots, so if you want to use them the min agi will be higher

i agree, but :

 

- replace extreme shield with Maximize when it's fixed (it doesn't work now, it will be fixed soon i hope)

- get golem lvl 10, its quite a good tank, even in high maps

Better replace Metal Armor with maximize, no? As long as you can't use both

true, but with maximize you use a 2h weapon, no ? (i would)

 

so if you want to go tank something, you're better off with pa+ma than pa+xs

I think I must disagree :-[ atleast for hunting LT-ET1(idk about 2 yet tho lol) still use same skill build as exp mech, but change your stats to more health 1.1k+ HP should be enough. the more u tank the faster and more u can kill. Find a spawn with the most monsters in the map in et1 3-5 monster is nice in LT as many as u can lure(5+?). most chars can barely tank 1-2 of the mobs in hunt maps. but mechs can tank way more just as in xp maps. soooo that being said use your spark and spark shield and mag sphere. thats how i been hunting et and it works quite well. of course u might kill a little slow, but hey ur killing 3-5 monsters at once and every block is a dmg to them and every second they 1 gets hit with a mag, and every spark does dmg, so those 5 months will hit u a few times but in general its like ur tanking 1 monster on any other char, dmg wise. its how people should hunt with archers and ata ( ramboing) though its the way of the pros so be careful and have fun  8)

 

btw im using lvl 100 gear at 110 in et1...so yeah cant wait to mass hunt kill with better tanking gear!

i agree but remember the dmg of spark / spark shield is static, and in higher maps its gonna be really, really slow.

yes, in sod, at early rounds : it kills monsters before they even finished spawning

(just like prs' chain lightning)

 

its also decent when monsters are too sparse to use spark in a truly effective manner.

Yes your atk pow changed. If you use normal hit it will work

 

But with Grand Smash it's totally useless, meaning the skill itself is useless

Thanks. I will put my sp on Mechanic Weapon Mastery, so. I want to use Grand Smash.  ;D

 

But, will maximize never work with grand smash or is it just a temporarily bug?

It should be working, as mech's abs should work on PvP too...

what do you mean it should be working? your not refering to maximize are you?

 

btw ive tested my hunting build in et2 it works very well

hp 1k-1.2k  rest spr

exp skill set, and u can tank whole et room and kill it all pretty fast with spark! and spark shield seems to do nice dmg here as well as mag they r good helpers just tank the room

it s just like pikeman use charge strike on you

and once u can block the attack

the reflect damage will hit on pikeman?

In my point of view, you should find a playmate and keep building your mech to be a tanker. Your playmate then should play any hunting character - AS, PS, FS, or KS.

Mech is just NOT a total fail hunting because they still can tank in PvE and got the golem to help

@Gogg: I did not say that that Mech was a fail hunting.

 

However, IMO, Mech could never be as good in dmg dealing as other characters can be. And the game should encourage people to party, not to play as soloist.

 

If I am to hunt alone, I guess I will play spark mech to gain levels first, to +120 maybe. Then, I reset to use dmg dealing skills.
