Preloading

Hey Wartale, what is that "preloading" option at the settings menu? I mean, how it works and what is its function?

It's supposed to "Pre-load" stuff so the game won't stutter / freeze when logging into Ricarten or switch to a new map, for example.

 

 

However, it's not working.

I think it is working, when you loaded the map already before since you logged in you can go instant to that map again

It's not functional, I've hidden the option for now.

In this case, it's because the game files is already stored on Cached Ram, so instead of loading things from disk, it loads from the ram (that is much times faster than a hard disk)

I believe the pre-loading is to prevent the stuttering on the first login (when the OS doesn't have cached RAM)
