x2 event for facebook likes

So I went and liked the facebook page because in trade chat people were talking about a x2 event after every 500 likes.  They are doing a countdown daily and we are within 30 likes.  Is this true?  Are we going to get a x2 event once we hit the next milestone?  As of this post we are 27 likes away.
