Magician Energy Shield

Anyone could tell me if the energy shield "defends" the 30% before or after the normal attributes?

 

Lets suppose, the mage takes a hit from a monster, that hit will pass through energy shield-> def-> abs-> element resistance. Is that order or is something else?

nobody knows except for gms, the skill is bug as hell
