Regarding CT3 quest

Just started playing Rpt again about two weeks ago and stumbled across this quest today that gives different amount of exp depending on how many monsters you kill, but it also gets progressively harder after 100 monsters killed and even more so after 1xx monsters. Putting it shortly it got to a point where it was simply impossible for me to tank the monsters anymore, and therefore my question is if the quest can be handed in before you finish killing 300 monsters? Or if you need to wait the full timer?

You need to wait for the full timer, may it be 100 or 400 mobs that you have killed. With a good party you can complete the 300 in 40-45 min, the pain is actually to wait out the remaining time in town.
